About the cost calculator

Which costs does the calculator include?

The spread, commission or a fee as a percentage of the position value, the swap if you hold a position overnight, and withdrawal fees if you enter withdrawals. Slippage, bank charges, currency conversion on profit and loss, and inactivity fees are not included.

Where do the figures come from?

From the brokers' official price lists, terms and swap tables, or from our own measurement in their trading platforms. Every broker shows the source and date. We never estimate and don't use figures from other comparison sites.

Why isn't every broker ranked?

Many brokers don't publish their spreads, or only as a minimum. If there's no verified value for your input, we list the broker below the ranking instead of guessing.

Is the cheapest broker also the best choice?

Not always. Costs are one factor; also look at the licence, the platform and the service. Our reviews and methodology help with that. And remember: with CFDs you can lose money quickly, even when costs are low.
