Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what data ForexPlatform processes when you use our website, why we do so and what rights you have. We process as little data as possible.

Who is responsible?

ForexPlatform is the controller for personal data processed through this website. You can reach us at info@forexplatform.eu.

What data do we process?

Visiting the website

To keep the website secure and available, our web server records technical data in log files: your IP address, the time, the requested page, the referring page and your browser type. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website. Retention: log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Clicking through to a broker

When you click a button to a broker, we record anonymously which broker, page and button it was, and from which domain you reached that page. We do not store an IP address, cookie ID or anything else that could identify you. This data is therefore not personal data.

Contact by email

If you email us, we use your email address and message to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions. Retention: as long as needed to handle your question, and at most two years afterwards.

Settings in your browser

We store your choice in the cookie notice and your light or dark theme preference locally in your browser (localStorage). This data is not sent to us. Read more in our cookie policy.

Statistics

Only if you consent do we measure how the website is used with a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Without consent, the tool is not loaded. We name the tool we use in our cookie policy. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Do we share data?

We don't sell data. Our website runs on a server in the Netherlands, operated by a hosting provider that only processes data on our behalf. Fonts and other files are loaded from our own server, not from third parties.

When you click through to a broker, you leave our website and the broker's privacy policy applies. Brokers and affiliate networks may set cookies on their own website to record that you came from ForexPlatform.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object and to data portability. Send your request to info@forexplatform.eu. We respond within one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the data protection authority in your country.

Security

The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the server and content management system is limited to those who need it.

Changes

We update this policy when the way we work changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
