How we calculate the overall score
Each sub-score runs from 0 to 10. The overall score is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal.
0.30 × regulation + 0.25 × costs + 0.20 × platform + 0.15 × education + 0.10 × support
Verifying licences
We check every broker's licence ourselves in the regulator's public register and show the date of the last check. If that check is more than 90 days old, the broker is automatically removed from the site until it is re-verified.
How we compare costs
We calculate the total cost of one standard lot of EUR/USD (100,000 units, round turn): the typical spread times the pip value plus commission. At a reference rate of 1.0850, one pip is worth €9.22.
Hard requirements
- Only brokers licensed by an EU/EEA regulator with a MiFID passport.
- The mandatory ESMA loss percentage is shown for every broker, with source and date.
- Brokers cannot buy a score, position or review. Affiliate fees play no role.
- We never promise profits or downplay risks.
